You'll Grow Out of It by Jessi Klein
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Entertaining and relatable but not laugh out loud funny.

Thoroughly researched but didn't tell me anything I didn't fundamentally know.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The story and the characters were good but the ending was highly unsatisfactory.

Review: Presto!: How I Made Over 100 Pounds Disappear and Other Magical Tales
Presto!: How I Made Over 100 Pounds Disappear and Other Magical Tales by Penn Jillette
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I learned a few things in this book. I learned that Penn and Teller don't really get along. I learned that Penn's favorite phrase to express dismissal is "Fuck him in the neck." And I learned about potato detoxing, which is an interesting idea and I might try it for a shorter amount of time. I'm not sure it will work because, as he points out, "You are getting this health information from a juggler." And to kind of sum up the whole thing: "You've finally done it. You found a book that has told you not to exercise. Too bad the book is written by an idiot." He does take a lot of diet advice from Joel Fuhrman though, and I do like him. All told, this is actually a good book, despite rambling a bit. You don't get many diet books that make you laugh.

The Best We Could Do by Thi Bui
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is an interesting telling of the Vietnam War, although it is really a story about family and perspective.

Review: Foundation: Redefine Your Core, Conquer Back Pain, and Move with Confidence
Foundation: Redefine Your Core, Conquer Back Pain, and Move with Confidence by Eric Goodman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I know I move my body incorrectly. I compensate for my weak back by using other muscles, it's probably how my back got hurt to begin with and it has gotten worse over time. I've been wanting to retrain myself to bring everything back in to balance. I did the first workout and it is harder than it looks on the page. I have a feeling this is going to be something that is very useful to me and I hope to stay on top of it so I don't hurt myself so much in the future.

Review: Bad Back Book
Bad Back Book by Jerry Wayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Very useful.
Update: I tweak my back a few times.especially a year. It usually takes three weeks before I start to feel better. I've been doing the stretches in this book for three days and already feel better. Amazing improvement!

Review: The Curse of the Pharaohs
The Curse of the Pharaohs by Elizabeth Peters
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I want to read all of this author's books. I'm not sure what her other series are like but I really like Amelia Peabody. She is terribly funny. I'm surprised these books have not been made into movies.

Review: Circe
Circe by Madeline Miller

It was really interesting to get a different perspective on so many different tales that have been known for so long. Extremely well written and crafted and I loved the way it ended.
