I think if I'd read this book 5 years ago (yes, I know it wasn't written yet) I would have been in a frame of mind to enjoy it more. This is one of those stories that has a lot of humor to it, but the humor occurs mainly from people being nasty to each other. It's just not my thing anymore. It was a really well constructed story though and I did enjoy how unique the characters were.
