I watched the Masterpiece Theater version of this that was on the past year and really loved it. The show is pretty faithful to the book. I have a feeling it may have pulled some plot from the next book but I'll have to wait to read that one to find out for sure. I really enjoyed this one and the fun was not diminished at all for having seen the show first.
