Review: Hap and Leonard: Blood and Lemonade

Hap and Leonard: Blood and Lemonade Hap and Leonard: Blood and Lemonade by Joe R. Lansdale
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is book 11 in the series but I didn't have any trouble with not having read the rest. I like the format of this book. Each chapter was Hap telling a story and they all kind of flowed together.

Review: The Sinner

The Sinner The Sinner by Petra Hammesfahr
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I almost gave this one up as the writing seemed pretty bad at the beginning. I think I just needed to adjust to the style. I admit I got sucked in, the story was just so out there. It's not hard to figure out what happened but it was still a ride of a read.

Review: King's Cage

King's Cage King's Cage by Victoria Aveyard
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I had a hard time getting into this because I couldn't remember the last book so well. It wasn't too bad. I plan on reading the last book soon so I don't forget again.

Review: Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've been wanting to read this since it came out. Reese Witherspoon had no bearing on my decision, I really don't enjoy celebrities trying to influence the public in such a manner. This book lives up to its hype though. Excellent story, artfully written.

Review: Infinity

Infinity Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I really liked Simi.
I bit campy but if you remind yourself that the majority of the book is from the perspective of a 14 year old, it kinda works. I'll read at least one more and see if I like where it goes.

Review: The Last Painting of Sara de Vos

The Last Painting of Sara de Vos The Last Painting of Sara de Vos by Dominic Smith
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Interesting story and pulled together very nicely. Each perspective was really well done but it left me wanting more from the painter's point of view.
