Beartown really took me by surprise and I didn't like it as much because I'm such a fan of Backman's more heartwarming stories. I was prepared this time so I liked this one more.
Interesting story-telling technique in this one. He tells you pretty early on what is going to happen, you just have to keep reading to see how it all unfolds.
Be prepared for tears.
